Benefit Haul

I ordered a few things from Benefit last week and they finally arrived! In the box came the Fake Up Concealer, Hello Flawless Foundation and two free samples.

The Hello Flawless foundation comes in a container with a pump lid, which I find to be much better as it's easier to apply the foundation. When applying I found that only a small amount of it goes a long way and it gives a full coverage without a shiny look about it. Another good aspect about this foundation is that it has SPF 25 making us know that our skin will be well protected from the sun as well. After a long day the foundation was still giving a full coverage.

The Fake Up Concealer comes in an elegant lipstick like container which really grabs the eye. The concealer is really easy to apply as it's just a simple stroke underneath each eye, then using your ring finger, pat gently outward which blend it into your skin. As well as handling the creases under the eye, you can use this to refresh your skin and help hide any blemishes on your face. With this concealer, the middle section is the actual concealer which diffuses the light and smooths the skin with an outer layer for the hydrator which included Vitamin E and an apple seed extract. After a long day, my skin still looked hydrated and it still gave full coverage.

Overall, I recommend these products to anyone how is willing to spend a bit of money as they are quite expensive. but they do their job well.

  1. Hey, nice products you got there! I am glad you like Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, I tried it a few months ago and it really did not impress me. I had a travel mini deluxe size product which was part of the "How to Look the Best at Everything" kit by Benefit and as much as I wanted to like it, it is not on my top list of foundations. Anyway, I am curious about the concealer, I read quite a few reviews about it and I am still on the "debatable" step of the process of whether buying it or not.

    1. Hey, yeah I found that it works well for me. The concealer is quite on the pricey side, but altogether I found it really good in that as it covers blemishes and smooths your skin. But then again it might be different for different skin types :)XO

  2. I have Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow and I love it! It works well for my skin and lasts me about six months which I think is amazing and I find it's best applied with a brush. I've just ordered some bits from Benefit today and for my free gifts I have chosen the "fake up" concealer and I'm a little curious about this product, I don't know what shade it will come in, hopefully fair! But I'm not sure how they pick free sample colours for each order, I will soon find out I guess. I'm just curious to how it actually works. It's a unique little concealer. I think it will be really good on the go! shanmurray.blogspot.co.uk

    1. Hey, yeah a brush is always best! Hopefully if you've chosen another skin product they'll match it to that, but yeah you'll find out:) Well it works like any other concealer really, but because it's in a lipstick like container it's easier to control and put on & as well as it having the hydrator on the outside it's a much thicker and 'painter' substance so you can spread it out and it won't run down like liquid concealers, with the advantage of making your skin smoother :)XO
